Love Stories by Nichola Kinch

When I first walked in the art gallery, I saw a copy of a tree hanging around the room and a small little machine that had different moon phases on it. I was confused. I had no idea what all it meant and what meaning it was portraying. The trees were made out of a thin piece of paper and the machine looked hand built. After being in the gallery for a few minutes, I started to feel calm and had a soft feeling, like I was in a woods on a warm night.

The artist started the talk with how each item worked with the others. She explained that the trees would disappear based on where the person was standing and focused a lot on perspective and how it affected the piece. Although her talk helped me put the puzzle pieces together, I don’t think listening to her talk was beneficial to me. That is because I had enjoyed the original feeling that I was receiving from the display.
